Ecological Study of the Farm
A local Columbia County botany expert, Conrad Vispo, has embarked upon a year-long survey of Katchkie Farm’s animals and plants.
In the forest, Trout Lilly, Toothwort, Red Trillium, Kindey-leafed Buttercup, and Marsh Marigold were all blooming along with woody plants such as Spicebush and Pin Cherry. Colt’s Foot, one of the earliest flowers, was just finishing up.
