Visiting Katchkie Farm

Our working farm is in active use to grow a wide variety of vegetables for our CSA program. We host three annual events for friends and families to come to Hudson Valley and experience farm life with all of its beauty and bounty!

If you are interested in arranging a farm visit on a day other than the public days listed below, please call us at 212-337-6087.

Farm to Table Dinner

For the past eight years Katchkie has hosted a dinner that highlights the importance of communities. From New York City to Hudson to beyond, we join together in support of educating children and families on healthy eating.

Great Performances and Sylvia Center staff collaborate to create a memorable experience for all attendees while supporting The Sylvia Center's local programs. Our most recent dinner was on July 15, 2017 and guests enjoyed the bounty of the summer with Elderflower Cocktails, Housemade Pickles and Fermented Grape Leaves with Goat Cheese, followed by a buffet dinner of Whole Grilled Chicken, Wild Hives Spelt Berry Salad, Greenhouse Cherry Tomatoes with Sea Salt and Olive Oil, and more.

The night was filled with joyous moments among friends, laughter and even contra dancing! For The Sylvia Center, it was a chance to reflect on ten years of sowing seeds in the community, which has now grown into thousands of students attending farm programs and learning essential cooking skills in Columbia County. Though it was an evening to reflect, we also look forward to the work the lies ahead in the next decade.  It was certainly a Tenth Anniversary celebration to remember.

Thank you to all of our Dinner Co-Chairs, Benefit Committee Members, sponsors, donors and volunteers this year. We appreciate all that you do to support our work.

Public Days

Katchkie hosts a number of public events, including Spring Planting Day in May and Fall Harvest Day in September or October. Our guests are invited to join in the work on the farm and enjoy a potluck meal.
