Onions

Storage: Onions should be kept in a cool, dry open space away from bright light. Do not store them anywhere that my be damp. Storing them in the fridge may help reduce tears when you go to cut the onions; store them in a a single layer on paper towels in the crisper. Cut onions should be wrapped tightly in plastic and kept in the fridge for no more than two or three days.

Taste: Pungent, sharp, aromatic, sulphury

Nutritional Benefits: Onions are a great source of phytochemical that may help to promote healthy cholesterol levels and blood pressure. They are also a superb source of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, manganese, and folate.
