Storage: For short term storage, wrap unwashed radishes in a damp paper towel and keep in a plastic bag. These will keep for a week in the refrigerator. For longer storage, use the same method but remove the leaves from roots prior to storing. This will last several weeks.

Preparation: Cut off the tops and the roots of the radish, then rinse under cold water. Wipe well with a paper towel to remove dirt.

Taste: Peppery, crunchy, bitter.

Nutritional Benefits: Radishes are rich in potassium, vitamin C, and calcium. They also are low in calories and carbohydrates.
